I got a particularly exciting magic!anon, but I can’t do anything with it yet, so I’m just writing about the concept.
Odin = Fail
Don’t forget falling asleep in the middle of that son’s existential crisis. Odin you miserable excuse for a father.
…see, I never interpreted his, “No, Loki” as a “you’re still not good enough”, but as “you didn’t do this for all of us, you did it for yourself”. Which. Yeah, Loki kind of did. He wanted approval. He wanted justification. And you gotta remember this guy has been dealing with Loki for thousands of years (or. However time works in Asgard). Loki is a prankster, a manipulator by nature. He’s used to playing on other people’s emotions to achieve his own ends.
And Odin couldn’t control going into the Odinsleep, it just sort of came on its own. If anything, he held out long enough to tell Loki the truth before he lost consciousness.
It seriously bugs me when people call Odin a bad father. The only really bad thing I can think that he did wrong was banishing Thor without consulting anyone else first, but even then one would assume Thor had been throwing his own weight all the time and the fact he hadn’t outgrown it or learned humility made it clear to Odin he needed to take a firmer hand with Thor.
Thor and Loki aren’t helpless little children. And they shouldn’t be treated as such.

There’s more depth to the family than ‘poor Loki’ and/or ‘poor Thor’. If you want to see bad!father Odin, I refer you to the comics, but movie!Odin doesn’t deserve to have every little single thing pinned against him.
Just love each other damn it!!
A happy moment between Loki and Thor. Because I needed it after all the angst.
He’s adopted,”
Thor in the comics is really such an asshole .
Aa, as much as I love and adore Loki, he’s actually quite delusional in the comics. He lies to everyone, including himself, to suit his own perceptions and needs. I tend to take much of what he says with a grain of salt, which is generally advised when reading about ‘the liesmith’. Thor is actually very loving towards him, which— if I’m recalling correctly— Loki even acknowledges at the end of this run (though I didn’t really like how most were characterized in it).
On another note: Loki fans like these really irk me. That is, the ‘lets bash Thor to express our victim!Loki love!’.

It’s harder than it sounds.
Because everywhere I go, they are portrayed as the stereotypical slash couple. “Blushing, Tsundere uke” and “Dominant, Powerful seme.”
WRONG.
That is not in character.
What IS in character is an easily flustered, 1940’s mannered, stubborn, brave, honourable as…
Actually, this has some impact on what pairings I favor! I’m all up for fantasy, the appeal or certain roles, kinks, etcetera, but when a character is reduced to an OOC sniveling mess by the majority of fandom, I’m usually so put off that I start to incline towards switched roles.
Loki with a de-aged, amnesiac Thor? I read a story of exactly that recently, and it was utterly adorable (as well as heartbreaking, in some places).
casually brushing fingers over mjolnir
why is the first gif so sexual and flirty jesus christ
Let me touch your hammer, Thor~
